The Indonesian Civil Society Communication Forum (FKMS) for Fair and Sustainable Palm Oil Management, submitted a Letter of Statement (10/12/2020) to the European Union regarding the Due Diligence Policy in EU Communication Stepping up EU Action and Restoring the World’s Forests.
Due Diligence Policy to reduce the EU’s consumption footprint on land and encourage consumption of products traded in the EU to be zero from deforestation and forest degradation. FKMS welcomes the EU’s initiative regarding the proposed Due Diligence policy. FKMS emphasizes and EU’s Due Diligence policy must include clear sustainability standards including aspects of Human Rights.
